Mobile apps that I can't live without

As a tech geek, I'm always looking for new mobile apps for my iPhone, Samsung Note 2, iPad or Macs to help me do what I do faster or more efficiently. Whether it's note taking, brainstorming, managing my calendar or sharing grocery lists, I want apps that make my life easier.

Here are some of my favorites that will always have a spot in the rotation (outside of social media apps). 

• Evernote: There's a reason that the logo is an elephant. It helps me remember everything. I use it to take notes in meetings, share notes with colleagues, make lists, brainstorm and more. 
• Dropbox: There's no need to have 2,000 pictures on your phone when you can easily have a cloud service like Dropbox save your images. I take it a step further and sync my Dropbox folder on my Mac in the office to our family photo server. So, whenever my wife and I want to download our pics from our phone and free up space on our devices, Dropbox takes care of that for us. 
• GroceryIQ: This is a simple grocery list app, but it syncs across devices and you can share lists with people. Instead of my wife texting me a list of things to get at the store, she updates the list and I know exactly what to go. The barcode scanner comes in handy too.
• 1Password: With a zillion sites I visit, apps to use, social networks I'm active in, there's a need to have multiple passwords. There's no way the human brain can make complex passwords and remember them across a number of services. 1Password does that for me and more. 
• Remote: I have two Apple TV's in the house and trying to find those skinny little remotes can be a pain. I use the Remote app all the time to control these devices.
• Xfinity: Just like finding the Apple remote for Apple TV, the Xfinity app allows me to control my cable boxes, set program recordings, manage my DVRs and scan what's coming up on TV without having to dive into the couch seat cushions to find the remote.
• Kindle App: I have a Kindle touch screen device, but there are times I don't want to carry it with me. The Kindle app is great on the iPad and even iPhone when you want to do some quick reading to kill the time.
• eSecure 2.0: It's an app that controls my home security system. Simple, easy to use and right in the palm of my hand when I need it.
• Google: The Google search app is great. It's better than having to search via Safari. It's quicker, has great voice to text recognition and includes Google Now, which is a handy tool for what's happening in your world at that very moment. 
• Things: Great task management app that syncs across my iPhone, iPad and Macs.

Other honorable mentions include: iMovie, YouTube, Yelp, GrubHub, Feedly, Zite, ClearTune, all of the SquareSpace mobile apps, Evernote Food and Hello apps, Street Food, doo, Amazon, Basecamp, LoseIT, RunKeeper and Airport Utility.
