Super Bowl: Yes, We Boston Fans Can Sulk

Boston has been known, over the past 12 years or so, as Title Town. However, since the 2011 Stanley Cup, Boston teams have floundered when it comes to winning on the big stage.

The Boston Globe published a story today, on Super Bowl Sunday, about the sulking Boston fan base -- a fan base who has been accustomed to winning, but is now relegated to think about our pre-2001 days when we all found comfort in our losing ways and used those feelings to fuel the passion we have for our teams.

The Patriots stand at 2-1, tied in a jammed up AFC East that has the Buffalo Bills, yes, those Bills, at the top of the division. The Pats face a tough Oakland team this week on the road. The defense isn't playing as it should be. Brady, normally stellar, looked more like Steve Grogan than he did Brady last week.

So, you figure that the sports media would have a lot to write about (not to mention that the Red Sox are one loss away from a monumental collapse), right?

Pats lose today to the Bills. I put it squarely on the shoulders of Tom Brady. He forced throws. Threw four Interceptions. And, forced the ball on a couple of critical plays in the fourth quarter. Two honorable mentions for blame go to Ochocinco for dropping a sure touchdown when it was critical to score and to Devin McCourty for getting burned on a handful of quick fly patterns and playing poor man to man coverage.
