For those of you who know me or work with me, you'll eventually hear that I'm trying to be "paperless." I don't like big stacks of paper on my desk. I don't carry around a notebook. I hate those big PowerPoint presentation that equate to half of the rain forrest in paper.
My main productivity application is Evernote. I use it on my various Macs or PCs; iPhone and iPads (1 and 2). In fact, it's probably the one productivity application I can't live without. There's a reason why the logo is an Elephant. It helps me remember everything.
So I pleased to read in my RSS reader (Reeder) today about the service reaching 10 million users and as a result, handed over iPad 2 to all its employees.
Despite Evernote coming out before the first iPad, the two items are perfect for each other. I can go to client and staff meetings with my iPad, take some notes and find them synced to my iPhone and any Macbook/PC I have access to.
In fact, I was in New York for a client meeting about two months ago and all I took with my was my iPhone, iPad 2 and my MiFi device for wireless access on the go. I was standing in line to board the shuttle back to Boston and someone said to me, "Boy, I think you're the first person I've ever seen travel that light. How dod you manage?" I told her about the applications I needed to use -- Evernote, Dropbox, Docs2Go (or Pages, Numbers, Keynote, etc.). She looked at me like I was crazy, but since then, she's emailed me about productivity tips and said that Evernote was the one app that's started her paper-free productivity work-style.
Are you using Evernote? If so, how? If not, what productivity apps are your "must haves"?
