The iPad a cometh, the iPad a cometh!
Are you rushing out to buy one? Have you pre-ordered it? How about being first in line to get one? Are you one of those people?
Well, this guys is:
(via Mashable)
Mashable caught up with Greg Packer, who, if you don't know, is a retired highway maintenance worker from Long Island that is pretty much known as THE man on the street. According to his Wiki page (yes, he has a Wikipedia page), Pakcer has been:
"quoted in more than 100 articles and television broadcasts as a member of the public (that is, a "man on the street" rather than a newsmaker or expert). According to the Nexis database from 1994 through 2004, Packer has been quoted or photographed at least 16 separate times by the Associated Press, 14 times by Newsday, 13 times by the New York Daily News, and 12 times by the New York Post.[1] His strategy is to appear at a likely news event and offer short statements to reporters. Although he always gives his real name, he has admitted to making things up to get into the paper."
Apparently, Packer is an Apple fan boy, still rocking the first generation iPhone. He's grabbing the iPad in replace of buying a laptop, Mashable reported. He’s been at the Apple Store since Tuesday and has slept in Penn Station and crashed at friend's places in order to secure his spot in line.
Good luck Packer!
