If you read my blog regularly, there's a few things you know about me. I'm a proud dad. I love sports. And I'll never pass up an opportunity to tailgate -- whether at the stadium or at home.
So, when I was approached by the folks at Apartment Guide to be part of their "Tailgating Blogger Challenge," I said, HECK YES!
The program kicks off October 20th - 26th (my official kick off really). Regardless, Apartment Guide is asking guys like me to talk about what I plan to do with the $200 Amex gift card their giving me to throw a tailgate session at home.
The timing couldn't be more perfect. The Patriots are one a bye week, but have a tough game coming up next weekend against the Steelers. However, being the NFL fanatic that I am, you KNOW I'll be glued to the tube watching this week's NFL action. And, courtesy of Apartment Guide, the boys, family and I will be chowing down on some chili, burgers, sausages and of course, a splattering of chips and dips. We tend to keep it simple, but hearty, of course.
As part of this challenge, I'm going to write another post or two, detailing my tailgating activities. As a result, Apartment Guide has been kind enough to offer me a $100 Amex gift card that I can use to give-a-way here on my blog. Stay tuned for how you can get your hands on that little puppy.
So, be on the look out for a post about the give-a-way, and of course, a post about detailing what a tailgate with the Big Guy is like. It's not just tailgating, it's an experience.
Before we do the contest stuff, be sure follow Apartment Guide on Twitter and like them on Facebook. Also, check out their website. Loads of cool stuff for those that are looking to decorate their house or apartment. They even give you ideas as to how to decorate your home for parties and the like. Pretty cool stuff, especially for a guy like me who needs all the help I can get (or a loving wife that takes care of it all for me).
