#140Conf: I'm a Dad & Damn Proud Of It

140conf.jpgThe best thing about being me is that I get to be a dad to two wonderful children. They are the crown jewel in my arsenal of goodness. Because of this, I'm considered what many now call a daddy blogger.

Most of us dads, who do blog, don't like the daddy blogger name because it's just too cute for us. However, one thing that we really don't like is being over looked by brands in the social media space.

At the #140conf yesterday, C.C. Chapman talked about being proud to be a dad and spoke directly to brands that are ignoring us "daddy bloggers."

His key point was that we are a forced to be reckoned with and brands that don't embrace our online reach are missing out, big time.

I couldn't agree more.

We are just as powerful online as mommy bloggers. We use all the same services like Twitter, Facebook, UStream, etc. We run ads on our sites. We have opinions. We love to review products. We love to talk about our family and our kids. We just don't like to be ignored and brands are doing just that, according to CC Chapman.
