The Gisellification of Tom Brady Continues with UGG's Pitch Job

The "Gisellification" of Tom Brady continues.

Tom Brady, the wonder boy quarterback of the New England Patriots, today was named the official "face" of UGG's — you, the super trendy shoe line made popular by Hollywood starlets and now seen everywhere.

The Gisellification of Tom Brady, of course, refers to Brady's marriage to Giselle Bundchen. The UGG's move is right in alignment with Brady's GQ persona and his um, "stylish" haircut that fused with Justin Beiber.

It's interesting to see Brady — arguably the NFL's darling (right up there with Peyton Manning) — playing the softie roll when he's leading a team in contention for their fourth Superbowl in the past 11 years.

Is the UGG's move a Giselle thing or simple a business decision by Brady?

Well, it appears to be the latter, according to Brady.

"I have worn and loved the UGG brand for a long time," Brady said in a statement. "This collaboration gives me an opportunity to work with a leading global brand with a great history and a true vision for the future of its men’s collection. It’s an exciting time to be part of the UGG Australia team."

It's no secret that pro athletes can make a zillion dollars off of endorsements. And of course, they tend to embrace opportunities that "match" their brand.

But, is the GQ look what Brady is going for or is it his model wife that's building the image?

As a Patriots fan, I want to say the latter mostly because I don't like the other answer.
