Google's lens on historical events and figures points towards Robert Louis Stevenson who would have been 160 today, November 13.
Stevenson, a writer from Scotland, penned such classic novels as Treasure Island and the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He lived from November 13, 1850 to December 3, 1894. His first novel was the Petland Rising: a Page of History.
Today Google honors the writer with a unique Pirate-like Doodle that could be mistaken for the a nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean, especially if the user doesn't click the logo (which brings up a search on the author).
What do you think of the Doodle? What's your favorite Stevenson book?
