All in Apple
ThinkGeek's iCadeOut of all the of the April fool's jokes online today, the one that seemed to catch the eye of the blogosphere was the iCade Arcade Cabinet, a retro dock with old-style arcade joysticks and Mashable buttons.
From the first letter in the name, you know that it's based on something Apple, and specifically the iPad.
Video icons rumored to be included in the development "stuff" for codersMashable is reporting a pretty good rumor that the iPhone 4G and the iPad (second generation) will both have front facing cameras.
To me, these are game changing features and prove yet again, why mobile devices will grab more and more market share over traditional computing devices.
This also tells me to wait to upgrade my iPhone 3G to the 3Gs and hold off on getting my wife's new phone until the 4G comes out. And yea, maybe I'll get that iPad...once the second version comes out with the front facing camera.
Apple's most anticipated announcement in years has had some people jumping in joy with excitement, and others saying ho-hum. In fact, a recent survey of 1,000 consumers showed that while buyers were pumped before the announcement of the iPad was made, their excitement fizzled after learning the product details.
The survey, conducted by Retrevo, an online marketplace for consumer electronics, may indicate that not only did Apple fail to convince new buyers, it may have lost many potential ones in the lack-luster announcement.
In a blog post, the company explained that their polls showed that the number of respondents saying they had heard about the tablet rose from 37% shortly before the announcement to over 80% after the media frenzy on January 27th.
