The role of religion in my life
You're probably thinking, "Oh boy, what's this post going to be about?" Or, "This is quite the departure from the content he usually writes on his blog." Don't worry. I'm not becoming a holy roller on your, but I have found religion in a way that suits me.

It snowed a ton in the Northeast over the past 24 hours. The kids and wife wanted to build Olaf. Well, the wife did. It's a decent version, though I preferred the Bruschi version she did a few years back.
Thinking about 2014
I have much to be thankful for after a pretty decent year. While 2012 would be described as devasting, 2013 would be described as healing. In 2014, I'm looking to do a number of things. No big promises here. No big resolutions. Just some simple thinking about how to make my life even more enjoyable than it is right now.
I'm Catholic, but not a practicing one per se. I believe in God and all that, mostly because to think that there's nothing else past life is quite depressing.
For those of you who read my blog, you know that my Dad passed over a year and a half ago. It's been rough. But since he's been gone, I've experienced things that are way more than coincidences.
I've been told I should write a book about how I've used social media and writing to cope with the loss of my father at the age of 56. He was gone too soon and unexpectedly. It rocked our family to the core and is still fresh a year and a half later. Here's what I have written so far...
Messages to Dad: The Working Title, "In My Life"
I've been told by a few folks that the stuff I've been writing you should be compiled and put into a book. At first, I wasn't sure. I thought most of the stuff was personal, despite being shared publicly.
I've been writing to you here, Tweeting and managing the Facebook page as a way to cope with losing you unexpectedly. It's helped. A lot.
Dad and IDear CC,
I read your book titled "Amazing Things Will Happen."
I knew it was going to be one of those self help type of books, but written in a no bullshit way, a style that I myself enjoy and employ in my own writing. I thank you for that. We, as in consultants in digital marketing and people in general, tend to write in big people words to make themselves sound smarter.
Let's not do that any more. Ever. So again, thank you for that.
Overall, it was well written and reinforced a lot of what's been floating around in my head since I lost my father unexpectedly in February of this year.
