My kids are Super Hero Girls

My kids are Super Hero Girls

As a father of two girls, there are things that I can teach them that my wife can't. Of course, that's a two way street because my wife has a wealth of information that she can share with the girls that I have no clue about.

One of the things that both my wife and I try to instill in our kids is confidence -- being confident with their academic abilities, athletic skills, communication skills, writing, exploration and more.

A confident child, who leaves poor attitudes at the door, will go a long way in life. It's about having a half full glass, regardless of the situation. Having the confidence in yourself to work through any challenge, face any uncomfortable situations, help others when no one else will and generally, be a good person are traits I see in both of my kids.

When I was growing up, a lot of the cartoon characters, movie characters and other public figures were predominately male. That's ok. I'm a guy.

When my youngest was under two, there wasn't much empowerment content for her to digest at a young age. As she got older, my wife and I found more and more to expose her too. Same with my youngest. Now that they are 12 and 9, it makes me proud that both of my girls will face anything in their lives with confidence.

So when the folks at DC Entertainment approached me about promoting the DC Super Hero Girls USA, I said, sure.

DC Super Hero Girls are all about action-packed girl power. The animated series features a dynamic group of Super Heros on their journey of discovering the power of their unique abilities and friendships. The characters are dynamic, like my kids, from strong and fearless to edgy and fun.

If you have young girls and they are looking for something new to watch, check out the YouTube channel or even have them check out the website where there's all types of activities to have fun with.
