I've been an Adam Sander fan for quite some time. I haven't had the chance to check out Jack and Jill yet, but it's on my to do list. The previews look hilarious and as I thought about it, there are some hilarious moments in Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, my two favorite Adam Sandler movies:
"Billy Madison":
- The bath scene when he talks about, "Shampoo is good. Conditioner is better"
- Waiting for the bus singing the "Back to school" song
- When he gives his answer in the quiz contest and the principal says it was the dumbest thing he's ever heard and that everyone here (in the auditorium) is dumber because of it
- The bag of poop joke on the front steps
- The Valentine's Day awkward moment in the classroom with the substitute teacher
- When he tried to pick up the teacher with, "you want some of this milk?"
- The snack pack trade during lunch time
- Sloppy Joes
- How about the band during his bday party, "Billy passed the third grade…"
- The O'Doyle stuff was also funny
"Happy Gilmore":
- The fight with Bob Parker
- Taunting of Shooter McGavin
- Ice rink scene
- When he places a bet with the movers
- His happy place moments
- The final trick shot he makes to win the tournament
- The batting cage scene
There are a slew of other memories from movies such as "Big Daddy", "Grown Ups", "Bedtime Stories", "Anger Management", "The Waterboy", "50 First Dates", "Spanglish" and more. Despite being a comedy star, he can play in those semi-serious type movies like "Reign Over Me".
Regardless, he's a funny guy and I'm looking forward to checking out "Jack and Jill".
