Yesterday was the last wedding of the season for me. It was a bitter sweet one because it was for a friend of mine -- a guy I've known since my Boston Globe days, as I mentioned yesterday.
If you were following a long via my live blogging, you heard about the traffic I sat through, the excitement of the group, the good times people were having and overall, what the day was like for me.
It was great to see a lot of the guys I played flag football with when we were all much, much younger. We're all older now, with a slew of gray hair, slight bigger waist lines and kids galore. We fell right into the old stories of playing football on Sundays, only to be hurting for two days after.
It was a great day and we had some great sun set shots on the beach, which was in the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts. The scene was beautiful and the bridal party was filled with old friends and new friends.
While I'm happy to see wedding season end, I'm also a bit saddened because despite the hard work, weddings are always fun. Everyone is happy and they want to get their pictures taken. It makes my job much easier.
So congrats to Kevin and Marissa. May your job marital bliss!
