Tis the season for giving, especially helping those in need. For those that stand outside and brave the elements to man those familiar red kettles from the Salvation Army, this is the time of year that they see the best in people.
In Clovis, New Mexico, an anonymous donor who is being called "The Cowboy," went the extra mile this year, dropping an estimated $8,000 - $10,000 worth of gold and silver coins into the kettle
This specific donation comes in handy as it will benefit the Clovis Salvation Army, that was in danger of severely missing their donation goals.
KOB-TV reported that Salvation Army officials will be looking to get the rare coins appraised in the very near future to see how much the rare coins are worth.
